The University of Notre Dame is a prestigious Catholic research university located in Notre Dame, Indiana. Founded in 1842, the university has a rich history and a strong academic reputation, consistently ranking among the top universities in the United States.
The challenge
Like many other institutions of higher education, the University of Notre Dame experienced significant shifts in enrollment and campus life during the pandemic, which necessitated finding new and innovative ways to engage with their target audience. Moreover, the university recognized that they needed to refresh their current visual brand and develop a comprehensive strategy that would help them stand out to both high school students and their parents in an increasingly competitive higher education landscape.
THE SOLUTION
ThinkPod created a new visual identity for the University of Notre Dame's Enrollment Division, implemented it across various media, and developed messaging that communicated their values, mission, and unique selling points. By emphasizing Notre Dame's rich history and academic reputation, we differentiated the university from competitors. The new brand stands out out and captures attention, leveraging bold typography, vibrant colors, and striking visuals. The design strategy was crafted to provide a consistent and compelling brand experience for prospective students and their parents.

University of Notre Dame Viewbook
ThinkPod Agency updated and modernized Notre Dame's viewbook, ensuring that it aligned with new brand standards. Having been in use for a decade, we aimed to make it even more effective in informing, preparing, and exciting students in their final stages of choosing a college. Our focus was on showcasing all the factors that made Notre Dame the right choice, making it an attractive option for seniors as well.
University of Notre Dame Fact Sheet
Updating the University of Notre Dame's Fact Sheet to fit in more information without feeling cluttered was a fun challenge. We created custom illustrations and infographics that made the information easy to read and digest. Our team also ensured that the designs were in line with the new brand, helping to create a cohesive and consistent visual identity. The revised Fact Sheet was very well-received, with a clear and concise presentation of data, making it a hit across the board.
