In February, we announced our 2016 Website and Brand Giveaway – calling for entries from businesses, organizations and non profits who struggled with their branding and public identity – and you listened!
We are pleased to announce that we selected area nonprofit Meow Mission as the 2016 contest winner. You can view their brand new website here.
Located in St. Joseph County, Indiana, the Meow Mission is an all-volunteer nonprofit that practices and promotes Trap/Neuter/Return in the Michiana area. Since it’s opening, Meow Mission has fixed and vaccinated over 2,000 cats. They were also successful in lobbying for the changing of the Mishawaka animal ordinance to include TNR.
You may have heard about Meow Mission when Sherbert, their miracle kitty’s story was shared on the local news. Sherbert’s tail and back paw were amputated after he was injured by a car engine, after having climbed inside to stay warm this past January. After Sherbert’s story aired, Meow Mission received donations from all over the country – and as far away as Scotland.
“The thing people don’t realize is that it is not uncommon for us to spend hours, and sometimes days, out in freezing temps to catch cats in these types of situations,” said Jodi Aker, Meow Mission President. “He’s the third tail amputation we have had.”
ThinkPod is so excited to have been able to help out an organization like Meow Mission by taking their brand and bringing it to the public with an awesome online presence that tells its story and encourages community support.
Thank you Meow Mission for all that you do!
